Founded in 1985, McNally Smith College of Music is a non-public, for-profit institution. The school is broadly identified and revered within the music trade for its intimate setting, entry to studios and apply area, and small class sizes with one-on-one attention. The college’s 180+ full-time school members include numerous performers of international renown. Alumni embrace famous person violinist Joshua Bell, conductor Leonard Slatkin, songwriter/producer Booker T. Jones, jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, cellist Paul Katz, singer Sylvia McNair, and lots of others. Located in rural Ohio about an hour southwest of Cleveland, Oberlin Conservatory has fewer than 600 college students.
