During her tenure at Harvey Mudd College, her work has helped assist the Computer Science faculty’s capacity to innovate, and has raised the share of women majoring in laptop science from less than 15 p.c to more than forty % at present. She began a college in her house at age thirteen and wrote a geography textbook for her students, which was later adopted by the Department of Education of Puerto Rico.
