TheGrafenegg Music Festival is a uncommon celebration of star-studded music performances, pristine nature, and award-winning structure. Every year in August, audiences flock to pay attention to classical performances amid the beautiful setting of a centuries-old castle and adjacent park. The Washington McClain Scholarship Fund honors the reminiscence of Baroque oboist and Amherst Early Music school member Washington McClain. It will fund scholarships for students who’ve traditionally been underrepresented in the early music area, together with African-American, Latinx, and others. Awards will cowl tuition, room and board, and travel and could additionally be used for any in-person AEM event, notably the Amherst Early Music Festival.
