This mixing of junk meals and civic zeal was a poll-tested and focus-grouped enterprise, as carefully constructed as a 30-second tv advertisement. It was all part of September’s National Voter Registration Day, a 7-year-old aspiring vacation. It’s little recognized amongst individuals who aren’t election officials, political activists—or the school college students of their sights. However, there is no invisible barrier between my classroom and the course on environmental science down the corridor.
